Spring, summer, and fall fill us with hope; winter alone reminds us of the human condition. -Mignon McLaughlin

Starting Strength #15

Squat: 3 X 5 - 225#
Bench: 3 X 5 - 145#
Deadlift: 1 X 5 - 245#, 1 rep of 345# (Ryan’s working weight. Couldn’t stay away from it.)

Starting Strength #14

Squat: 3 X 5 - 220#
Press: 3 X 5 - 105#
Power Clean: 5 X 3 - 125#

Starting Strength #13

Squats: 3 X 5: 215#
Bench: 3 X 5: 135# (I know, I know. I’m working on it!)
Deadlift: 1 X 5: 225, 1 rep of 335# (when Ryan loads up his deadlift, I find it irresistible to pull it for a single).

I decided I’m going to make 15# jumps in the deadlift for a couple of workouts. 225 is not doing anything for me.

Starting Strength #12

Squat 3 X 5: 220#
Press 3 X 5: 105#
Power clean 3 X 5: 125#

Starting Strength #11

Today was an A-day workout:

Squat: 3 X 5 - 205#
Bench 3 X 5 - 135#
Dead 1 X 5 - 205#
(Also deadlifted 325# for a single. Just to keep up with Ryan).

Starting Strength #10

I haven’t been logging my workouts for a long time. Ugh. But it’s better to start late than not at all. Here’s the numbers:

Starting Strength B day

Squat - 3 X 5 - 200
Press - 3 X 5 - 95
Clean 3 X 3 - 115, 2 X 3 - 135

Did the last two sets of cleans at Ryan’s weight so that he wouldn’t be late for work. Squats are finally feeling good. “Elbows up” is the magical cue for me to keep my chest from slipping down into the “good morning” position. Also I look out and up a little more than I used to. I look about 8 feet out in front of me on the floor. Helps me keep my chest up.
